Exchanges & Returns
How long do I have to return an item?
You can return your unworn items within 30 days of them being shipped. Exchanges for a different size or color are always free for standard items. Please initiate your return or exchange through our online portal on dunesandtrails.com.
Can I return custom products?
Custom products are one-of-a-kind and made specially for you. For this reason, all sales on custom items are final, and we cannot accept returns or exchanges.

Do you sell single shoes or accommodate different sizes per pair?
We do not accommodate single shoe orders as our footwear is manufactured and sold in pairs. If you require two different size shoes, we recommend contacting organizations that facilitate matching individuals for size exchanges.
Can my Dunes And Trails sandals be repaired?

How do I adjust the straps on my Z/Sandals?

What’s the difference between the Classic and Cloud footbeds?
- Classic Footbed: Features our firm, durable PU construction that maintains its shape. It provides ergonomic, all-day comfort with our supportive LUVSEAT™ design.
- Cloud Footbed: Offers 5mm of extra cushion underfoot for pillow-top comfort, using a lightweight, dual-density PU. It also features the same supportive LUVSEAT™ design for healthy alignment.
How do I break in my new sandals?
Like most quality footwear, Dunes And Trails sandals benefit from a break-in period. We suggest wearing them for 3-4 hours per day over the first week or two to allow the footbed and straps to mold comfortably to your feet, helping to prevent blisters.
Are your sandals good for hiking and water?
Absolutely! Our signature Z sandals were born for adventure. They feature quick-drying polyester straps and are excellent for hiking, providing podiatrist-accepted arch support for long days on the trail. They are also perfect for water activities—just be sure to rinse them with fresh water after exposure to saltwater or chlorine.
How do I clean sand or debris from the strap channels (flossing)?
Mix one part water with one part unscented liquid fabric softener. Soak your sandals overnight, then gently pull the webbing back and forth through the footbed channels to clear out dirt. Rinse thoroughly afterward.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
To get your adventure gear to you as fast as possible, our system processes orders immediately. Therefore, we are unable to cancel or change an order once it is submitted. You are welcome to return or exchange any item conveniently after you receive it.
